Probably the most famous car programme on television, Top Gear has an equally dominant presence on the web. Vauxhall were keen to harness the audience power from the Top Gear brand to help launch their new car, the Insignia VXR. I was tasked with creating a co-branded microsite to sit on Topgear.com and a series of animated ads to be used across the BBC Worldwide network.
Subtle animation and rich video content really enhanced the site, and helped it to become a huge success.
To support the online campaign, features and advertising appeared in Top Gear Magazine, encouraging people to book test drives and enter into a UK based competition through the microsite.
